Role Purpose
The role of the Business Intelligence Developer is to support the needs of the business through design and development of actionable analytics, development and maintenance of the Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and training and support of the user community. The primary focus for this role will involve taking business and functional requirements from concept and solution development through to deployment to the production environment.
Responsibilities
Translates business needs to technical requirements and develops and updates technical documentation. Researches new tools and technologies in business intelligence arena.
Designs, develops, deploys and supports sustainable BI solutions such as dashboards, scorecards and various other forms of data visualization.
Designs, develops, deploys and supports measure algorithms in the form of complex SQL scripts and database queries.
Performs data manipulation tasks using available and most appropriate data management tools such as Alteryx, SAS or SQL queries and database stored procedures.
Participates in peer code reviews, development of standards, guidelines and best practices for use of certain tools, technologies and techniques.
