Job Summary:
Provide diagnostic assessment and evidence-based, time-limited psychotherapy intervention to adults for a variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and behavioral disorders in the context of Cancer Treatment and Recovery. Actively collaborates with other members of the medical and psychiatric clinical care teams to manage caseloads and provide optimal mental health care. Position is expected to be hybrid between remote (telehealth) and on-site work, approximately 60-80% remote.
Candidate must reside in either TN or KY
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
* Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage
and Family Therapy or equivalent
* Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor-MHSP, or
Licensed Marital and Family Therapist.
Preferred:
* Experience working with medically ill adults, particularly cancer/ oncology
population
Department Summary:
The Division of Hematology and Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center conducts research and treats all types of adult cancers including solid tumor cancers and hematological (blood) disorders, as benign hematologic disorders such as coagulation disorders and non-cancerous blood diseases.
With over 80 faculty members representing a broad range of professional expertise, our dedicated team of professionals is committed to hematologic and oncologic care through:
* Research to better understand and treat cancers and benign hematologic
diseases
* Translating VICC laboratory research into therapies to help people with
cancer
* State-of-the-art patient care and personalized cancer therapy
* Clinical trials, including Phase I drug development with subsequent Phase II
and Phase III testing
* Training future hematology and oncology doctors and researchers
* Cancer chemotherapy, pharmacology, and biological therapy with an
emphasis on solid tumors
* Treating bleeding and coagulation disorders, anemia and other disorders of
blood

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintains professional documentation which meets department and VUMC standards as it relates to compliance.
* Provides targeted interventions for identified clients via in person and teletherapy services.
* Completes psychosocial assessment and assists team with the development and implementation of the plan of care.
*Meet regularly with team leaders to discuss caseload progression. Will be expected to discharge and accept new clients on an ongoing basis.
* Provides education and or consultation to clients, treatment team and community.
* Attends division and department meetings as scheduled via TEAMS or in person as appropriate.
