Overview
Represents Beebe Medical Center Laboratory in the provision of customer service to our satellites and physician offices. Accurately documents all client communication. Works closely with management in monitoring outreach service quality to ensure delivery of office supplies, the pickup of specimens and delivery of results in a manner that ensures satisfactory customer service and safety. Must have a current Delaware driver's license with less than 3 moving violations.
Responsibilities
Maintains communication with customers and co-workers and provides timely follow-ups. Drives a hospital vehicle in accordance with Delaware law. Recognizes the needs of the customer and designs a service to meet external customer's needs. Performs multi-route service and STAT calls. Provides good customer service by cooperatively working closely with and around laboratory team members and other ancillary departments Markets Beebe Lab services. Maintains a professional appearance and attitude. Able to be pleasant over the phone and in person in stressful situations. Uses safe work practices. Ensures packages are securely stable within vehicle. Trains a new courier team member with emphasis on understanding their role as a Courier and their participation in the laboratories process improvement program. Maintains supply room and fills supply requests to physician offices. Maintains documentation of transport vehicle mileage and schedules appropriate maintenance checks. Serves as a resource and teaches new employees.
Qualifications
Three to five years medical office or laboratory experience with good organizational and interpersonal skills preferred. Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively and discreetly with patients, physicians, hospital employees, and the general public. Able to work under pressure. Willingness to increase knowledge of laboratory/hospital functions. Demonstration of creativity, initiative and problem solving. Knowledge of office related equipment.

Beebe Healthcare serves the Sussex County community with a medical center located in beautiful, historic Lewes, Delaware, and convenient outpatient locations throughout the county. Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James Beebe and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe's specialized service lines include cardiac and vascular, surgical services, oncology, women's health, and orthopaedic services. With a mission to serve the community, Beebe also offers many free screenings and outreach programs through its Population Health Department; and advanced medical care for those who are recuperating at home through Beebe Home Care Services.

Beebe's Medical Staff has grown tremendously since the early 1990s. Employed physicians through Beebe Medical Group and our affiliated physicians on Beebe's Medical Staff now serve patients from Milford to Millville in specialties including cardiac surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, family practice, gastroenterology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatric neurology, and surgical oncology.
