Job Summary:
We are looking to hire an Epic Willow Inpatient certified analyst. This individual will work on completing Willow Inpatient projects including enhancement requests and break fixes.
Under general direction, the Epic Application Analyst II is an Epic certified or proficient individual, who is responsible for the support, analysis, design, build, configuration, implementation, workflow documentation, and educational support of the assigned Epic application software, in alignment with organization's policies, procedures, and business operations. Is knowledgeable about Epic or healthcare IT system functions. Readily displays the ability to diagnose issues, identify appropriate resources and escalations, and propose creative solutions to complex problems. Understands the functions and processes of key customer departments and can coordinate and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholder groups. Can function independently at the level that will allow them to participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation and coordinate and deliver team level project requests. Works with the objective of delivering elegant solutions that are intuitive, empowering, efficient, scalable, sustainable, systems focused, and foundation based. Maximizes use of Epic foundation functionality to enhance user experience, limiting custom solutions when foundation tools are available. Uses analytics to drive workflow changes and process decision. Develops measurements and tools for monitoring value and success of system changes. Facilitates a handoff of monitoring value and success to operations. We strive to maintain a 90% Epic enhancement adoption rate.
Essential Functions:
General ? Plans and organizes time effectively. ? Partners with Epic end users to identify needs, opportunities, weaknesses, and issues to provide solutions and improvements. Which may include attending site visits, validation sessions, and other integrated sessions. ? Participates and guides the phases of system changes, including design, build, testing, documentation and education. ? Complies with department processes for change management and risk mitigation. Using tools such as Epic Content Management, Data Courier, and other department tools. ? Communicates with team, stakeholders and vendors to discuss the status of issues, trends, deliverables, end-user concerns, and anticipated milestones. Provides feedback to vendors on existing functionality and desired new / modified functionality to enhance overall system capabilities. ? Maintains and reviews the status of projects and escalates issues and risks on an ongoing basis with leadership. ? Follows standard work for documentation of all solutions ensuring consistent deliverable and reusable solutions ? Actively reviews and responds to vendor, enterprise, and team correspondence. ? Makes use of IT and enterprise problem/request tracking tools. Keeps current documentation on all assigned tasks. Completes work status and time allocation documentation as required. ? Work with training staff to ensure documentation and training materials are in line with delivered solutions. ? Makes formal and informal presentations to leadership and end users both orally and in writing. ? Participates in Epic team integrated workgroup(s). (50%)
Provide primary support to Epic end-users ? Break/fix support ? Identify reoccurring issues or weaknesses, and proactively document solutions to expedite issue resolution. ? Standing maintenance tasks such as, managing and acting on error reports, work queues, and other notifications. (25%)
Service Requests/Projects ? Follow established processes to complete service requests. ? Leads or participates in the evaluation, solution analysis, prioritization, and delivery of changes to existing system or workflows. Evaluates and presents feasibility, effort and timelines required to complete customer requests. ? Create and execute project plans - defining deliverables, developing and managing schedule, task identification and ownership, and overall status tracking. ? Maintains regular communication with project team members and leadership as role dictates. (25%)
Education:
Associate's Degree required.
In lieu of an Associate?s degree, HS/GED and four (4) years Epic application support experience required.
Work Experience:
One year of Epic application support experience required.
Epic build experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to adapt and excel in an evolving technical environment; identifies and validates the appropriate solution to meet various needs.
Understands the Epic system capabilities, and limitations in supporting various workflow and process requirements of the enterprise.
Demonstrates strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems. Can use analytical reasoning to determine root causes, define the problem, generate solutions, and implement the best option.
Communicates in a way that builds relationships and fosters collaborative work. Tailors the mode and content of communication to both technical and non-technical colleagues in and outside of the organization.
Displays high level of initiative, including the ability and willingness to take ownership of work, recognize assignments or tasks that need to be completed, seek out additional assignments or tasks, and help others.
Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple efforts of varying priority, demonstrating flexibility with respect to changing organizational needs. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals.
