Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

With a track record of global leadership in bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS prevention, immunotherapy and COVID-19 vaccines, Fred Hutch has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading cancer, infectious disease and biomedical research centers. Responsibilities

• Carry out an independent research project.
• Contribute as part of a team and provide mentorship for trainees working on other projects as needed.
• Present work at group meetings, local seminars and national/international meetings.
• Prepare data for publication and assist in writing publications and grant applications.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, or related field.
• 5+ years of post-doctoral experience.
• Proficiency in molecular biology, biochemistry, or molecular genetics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A record of publication in peer-reviewed journals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with analysis of protein interaction networks, preferably with a prior research focus and publications related to molecular and cellular biology of MYC-MAX and its proximal interactome and their roles in myeloid leukemia.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $82,118 to $185,016 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
