Job Description

Clinical Trials Nurse - GI Surgical (53rd St.)

As a Clinical Trials Nurse - GI Surgical (53rd St.), you will be at the forefront of groundbreaking clinical research. Your contributions will be essential in driving forward our ambitious goals, ensuring that we continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients.

Role Overview:

• Work within a Nurse-Physician/APP based Ambulatory Care Practice Model
• Provide clinical support to staff members, and assist with the management of a caseload of Surgical Oncology patients
• Facilitate accrual of the appropriate patients to clinical trials.
• Coordinate patient care activities and conduct studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials.
• Educate patients and their families regarding clinical trials in general and the specifics of the proposed clinical trial.
• Provide as an integral member of the clinical research team to research study participants' direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/ family support.
• Collaborate with the principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in a multidisciplinary discussion for approval.
• Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up.

Key Qualifications:

• New York State RN license and BSN
• Three years clinical Nursing experience
• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Clinical research nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
• BCLS

Pay Range:

$119,000-$146,850

Additional Information:

• Location: MSKCC, New York, NY, USA
• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hr shifts Monday-Friday
