RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Nocturnist to join a team of experienced Intensivists at Community Medical Center in Ocean County.
Community Medical Center (CMC) is a fully accredited acute care hospital offering world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC cares for over 28,000 inpatients, 127,700 outpatients, and 100,000 emergency department patients yearly. This 617-bed teaching hospital offers comprehensive services, including cancer care, neurology and neurosurgery services with a neuro-interventional lab, and cardiac care featuring four cardiac catheterization labs. Specialized care is also offered through the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, the Center for Bariatrics, and the Comprehensive Breast Center.
Community Medical Center was recently approved to launch an accredited Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship Program, with two fellows starting in July 2025!
This opportunity is located in Ocean County, surrounded by beautiful suburban towns ideal for families! It is also adjacent to the famous Jersey Shore beaches, a popular spot for recreation, shopping, and exploring cities with modern residential condominiums and award-winning local restaurants.
This is an excellent opportunity for an eager physician to join a well-established, multidisciplinary team that aims to provide high-level care at a teaching hospital and become a part of the Critical Care Service Line!
ABOUT POSITION:
Care provided in an exclusively inpatient setting (27-bed adult medical and surgical ICU), multidisciplinary, collaborative ICU model
Night Shift has support with an inhouse APP and Fellow (Intensivist on call)
Opportunity and expectation to teach fellows and residents
7 pm – 7 am shift
15 Night Shifts a Month (Flexible Schedule)
REQUIREMENTS:
Board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine
Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of New Jersey
Proficient with Intubations and Central Lines
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
