Operations Management
Effectively administers program for maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment, as well as procurement, generation, and distribution of utilities.
Effectively administers Building Automated Systems (BAS) for the organization to effectively and efficiently manage the environment and energy consumption.
Ensures that all required documentation is properly completed, maintained, and archived to ensure compliance with all Joint Commission standards including Equipment Management, Utility Management, Security Management, Hazardous Materials and Wastes Management, Fire Safety Management, and Life Safety.
Effectively communicates affected departments on the status and progress of related projects in terms of budget, schedule, and operational impact.
Maintains operations and projects within approved budget and established time frames.
Plans and recommends the development of physical facilities. Reviews and recommends approval of plans for construction and infrastructure upgrades. Advises on structural changes and additions or modifications to buildings. Acts as liaison with contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and materials and equipment suppliers. Approves contracted work.
Remains current of new trends and best practices and incorporates into Facilities Engineering practices and programs.
Develops and manages operational initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Departmental Leader
Serves at the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Clinical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Building Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, Fleet Management, infrastructure planning and development, utilities management, life safety requirements, and provides Matrix Management leadership for Engineering Services across all Archbold Medical Center facilities.
Incorporates s’s vision, missions and values in goals and programs within Facilities Engineering.

Financial Manager
Actively seeks opportunities to improve financial outcomes, engaging staff in the process.
Monitors and analyzes financial data and utilizes for decisions regarding FTE’s, staffing and operational budget.
Establishes an annual operating and capital budget, demonstrating fiscal responsibility through meeting budget targets.
Directs and provides guidance to managers to effectively allocate resources based on patient volume, space availability, budget constraints, and program priorities, goals and objectives.

Qualifications:
15+ years’ experience in a Healthcare System setting required in a leadership role. Knowledge of Joint Commission readiness, engineering/maintenance, construction/project management, clinical engineering and energy management
BS in Engineering or Physics, required
Certified Energy Manager (CEM), desired
Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), desired
