This position is in the Integrated Therapies Service (ITS) Line, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS) at the Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System. The incumbent performs administrative duties in support of the therapists' care and treatment given to patient on a ward, rehabilitation clinic, or rehabilitation services office/reception area in the medical facility, such as receiving patient and assisting therapists in the set-up and treatment of patients. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/17/2025. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: General Experience: Must possess experience, education or training that demonstrates your ability to follow directions and to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures; and ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. Duties of this position would typically include, but are not limited to: patient care activities; ability to observe, perceive, use judgment, show initiative, and pay attention to detail; ability to politely and courteously provide customer service and relay information. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed of 2 full years of study above high school that included study in medical, health, or related fields. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business or technical school.
