About the opportunity:
The Clinical Trainer will be responsible for developing, implementing, scheduling, and delivering training programs to clinical staff to ensure they meet competency standards to expertly perform their work in a multi-specialty medical practice.
What you will do:
Develop, implement, maintain, and deliver a training program for new and existing clinical staff. This will include all workflow requirements and orientation to tools required for documentation or execution of general and specialty procedures.
Develop, implement, maintain, and deliver a training program for Patient Care Technicians to gain basic and advanced skills, knowledge and abilities so they may successfully transition to Clinical Assistants once required licensure is obtained.
Provide training and job shadowing or mentorship throughout the first 6 weeks of employment and then regularly throughout the Patient Care Tech experience.
Collaborates with medical providers and unit management in the assessment, planning, implementation and delivery of educational curricula.
Research updates to existing applications used for clinical care and any new applications introduced and develop, implement, maintain and deliver needed training to clinical staff.
Utilize multiple training mediums (documentation, video, in person, email, etc.) to communicate concepts to clinical staff in a way that is easily retained.
Provide regulatory updates and training on CLIA and OSHA to staff in compliance with current frequency guidelines while staying current on related testing procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA training in accordance with medical practice guidelines.
Create and implement an in-service continuing education schedule for all clinical staff. Deliver the training and/or schedule external trainers. Document participant proficiency and attendance.

What you will need:
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of adult instructional experience through job or education, preferably in a health care environment.
Working knowledge of multi-specialty office operations, workflows, and experience with utilizing an electronic health record
Minimum of three (3) years' experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties required.
Expert knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations.
Excellent writing, communication, public speaking, and customer service skills

State of Colorado Emergency Medical Technician license
State of Colorado Licensed Practical Nurse or valid compact state license
State of Colorado Certified Nurse Aide license
State of Colorado Registered Nurse or valid compact state license required
Certification(s):
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
Education:
Bachelor degree in health care field preferred
Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
