Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Shift: Days- 6:00 am -2:30 pm, Variable Hours M-F

Unit Highlights:
Advent Health Winter Park Labor and Delivery Unit is a premier destination for obstetrical care. We provide individualized care for generations in a boutique style environment.
The Labor and Delivery Unit provides Level II Maternity Care for approximately 3,500 births per year, and consists of 4 OB Triage rooms, 10 labor rooms, 3 OB ORs and 4 PACU beds. The adjacent units are a 12 bed Level II NICU and a 34 bed Mother Baby Unit.
The multidisciplinary OB team is supported 24/7 by on unit OB Hospitalists, Neonatologists/Pediatric Hospitalists and Anesthesiology.
Advent Health for Women is a key part of the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative’s PROVIDE initiative (reducing primary c-sections) and MORE (reducing maternal opioids). Our team is able to provide virtual classes and tours with our patients and individualized care with our Birth Experience team.
Other highlights include Professional Excellence Programs, Perinatal Nurse Internship Programs and our Multidisciplinary Obstetrical Simulation Training

AdventHealth Winter Park is a hospital built for the community by the community. The land for the hospital was donated by the city of Winter Park.

We provide the most advanced care available with upscale and boutique care for Obstetrics, Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a state-of-the-art Emergency Room, comprehensive Cancer Care, advanced technology Surgical Services with 12 surgical specialties, a first-of-its-kind Inpatient Rehabilitation featuring high-tech training equipment, Surgical Orthopedic destination with a Dedicated Education unit, and Stroke and Ortho DNV Certified, to heal the community in the most comfortable way possible.

The role you’ll contribute:
The ANM is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in overall operations of their assigned unit. Can demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services to our patient population. The ANM assures quality of care is delivered to our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. Is supportive of change activities on their unit and works to assure implementation of change that may occur. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

·Lead the Employees – Has a working knowledge of performance expectations for all employees on the unit. Will have direct oversight of the OB Operating Rooms and PACU.
·Performance Improvement - Demonstrates familiarity with the performance improvement model of the organization and supports initiatives.
·Business of Healthcare Delivery – Utilizes a working knowledge of health care economics and healthcare public policy as it applies to the delivery of patient care
·Relationships and Behaviors – Utilizes relationship in influencing behaviors on the unit, mentoring new hires and fostering excellent clinical care.
·Clinical Practice Knowledge – Is an expert in the clinical practice requirements of their unit and able to support the team clinically as indicated.
·Clinical Experience – Performs Leader Rounding on patients as well as coaching team members to provide optimal clinical experience.
·Support Department Operations- The Administrative Role encompasses additional leadership, administrative and clinical duties as needed.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing
Specific experience as delineated by the unit of employment
Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements
EKG competency
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree of Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN)
Professional Certification

Leadership Experience
