The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital is growing their institutional giving team and has an opportunity for a Corporate & Foundation Relations Officer. This role is responsible for developing and sustaining a vibrant portfolio of funder relationships driven by outstanding grant writing, cause marketing, special events and other corporate partnership activities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, ambitious, goal-oriented and creative, with a successful track record for building strong and productive relationships across corporate and foundation constituencies. This is a flexible work opportunity, must reside in the Greater St. Louis area.
Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Role Purpose
Responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major corporations, foundations and, when applicable, state and government grants.
Responsibilities
- Cultivates, solicits, and stewards major corporations, foundations and state and government grants.
- Serves as primary development liaison with key staff members at corporations and foundations and direct volunteer efforts to acquire resources.
- Develops proposals for funding of new and existing projects and programs for foundation and corporations which exhibit funding interest.
- Ensures proper acknowledgment, stewardship and maintenance of all assigned prospects.
