Radiology Consultants of Winnipeg (“Radco”) provides academic, specialized, and subspecialized radiology services in the province of Manitoba, Canada. Radco was established over 60 years ago, and is currently one of Manitoba’s largest radiology practices. Our group of 28 radiologists interprets over 400,000 exams per year at a dozen imaging sites across the province. This includes the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) in Winnipeg, Manitoba’s major teaching and research facility, and one of the largest tertiary care centres in Canada. Our members are affiliated with the University of Manitoba Max Rady College of Medicine and the university’s Diagnostic Radiology program.

Position summary:
We are seeking a neuroradiologist for a shareholder track role. Our radiologists are independent contractors remunerated on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate would be comfortable with the full spectrum of neuroradiology service in ED, inpatient and outpatient settings. Procedural skills preferred including lumbar puncture/myelogram, image guided biopsy of head/neck and spine sites. Our interventional neuroradiology section would provide support for any advanced procedural requests.
The successful candidate would join a group of five fellowship-trained diagnostic neuroradiologists and two interventional neuroradiologists, based at HSC. HSC is the only trauma and comprehensive stroke centre in Manitoba, and is the primary site of neurosurgical, neurology, neuro-oncology and head and neck oncology practices. We also serve three community hospitals in Winnipeg and surrounding area, one of which is a rural stroke centre. Services are provided at HSC weekdays and weekends 7 days per week. Radiology residents are often on service, along with off-service residents and medical students. We also have an unaccredited neuroradiology fellowship program with one position per year. After hours MRI call is currently at a rate of 1 in 7.
Duties and responsibilities:
Neuroradiology 1.0 EFT preferred, part-time can be accommodated
Additional opportunity to practice part-time in general radiology
Educational rounds and didactic lectures approximately 5 per year
Desired professional skills and experience:
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada qualified or eligible in Diagnostic Imaging
Completion of minimum one year neuroradiology fellowship training
