The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for performing acceptable mammographic examinations which are assigned, utilizing proper technique and positioning with proper personal and patient radiation protection.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Resolves customer service issues in a timely, courteous and efficient manner
· Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical Imaging procedures on all patient age groups and ability to teach the same
· Provides imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of age, race or sex.
· Technologist is proficient on the use of their specific imaging equipment and the department's policies and procedures
· Consults with radiologist and/or referring physician concerning screening vs. diagnostic examinations if necessary
· Reviews previous mammogram prior to exam for possible comparison.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· High school graduate or equivalent
· Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
· Board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in mammography.
· Certified by the State of Florida, Department of Health & Rehabilitative Services, Division of Office of Radiation Control (Florida Statue 468)
