Role Purpose
The Storeroom/Inventory Lead will be responsible for all activities within the assigned area including scheduling, training and direction of staff, conducting inspections to evaluate adherence to quality control standards, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) procedures, food code regulations and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) guidelines as determined by the Manager. Assumes responsibilities and ownership of the Department as a whole, inclusive of the storeroom and drivers. This position uses motorized equipment such as a pallet stacker, pallet jack, box truck.
Responsibilities
Assists with placing daily supply orders via computer. Performs inventory counts, reconciles and makes visual check of on-hand raw materials. Executes testing requests. Generates required quality control records/reports and other required paperwork as required by the Company, USDA, FDA, CMS, etc
Assists department management in coordinating and achieving department goals by coordinating the movement of raw materials from warehouse/storeroom storage to Work in Process (WIP) production locations as well as moving product to distribution points in accordance with production, delivery schedules and business requirements.
Monitors employee performance and schedules, production needs, trains employees and builds an effective work unit. Provides education and ensures work unit follows proper job duty protocol, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and sanitation guidelines.
Performs a range of receiving, shipping, delivery and inventory control duties including the loading and unloading of trailers, driving delivery vehicles, replenishing stock and filling orders. Works various positions where needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of service.
