Work Performed
Level IProvide psychosocial assessments of patients and familiesto identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problemsrela ted to their diagnosis, illness, treatment, and/or lifesituation.Formula te, develop, and implement a comprehensivepsychosocial treatment plan ut ilizing appropriate clinical social worktreatments and interventions. In terventions may include crisisintervention, brief and long-term individu al, marital, family and/orgroup therapies as well as grief and bereaveme nt work.Screen,identify, diagnose using DSM nomenclature, treat and mana ge mentalhealth and/or substance abuse problems in patients and family m embers.Provide training to other health care professionals in same. Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities
Level I Adherence to the practice standards andethical gu idelines of NASW and the NC Certification Board for SocialWork. Excellen t verbal and written communication skills. Asolid knowledge of clinical social work practice. Excellentassessment, interviewing, and counseling skills with expertise inmental health and substance abuse areas;familiar with psychopathologyand with range of therapeutic interventionsincludin gpsychopharmocotherapy; and if working independently, must knowwhen tore fer for further medical assessment. Ability to work effectivelyand auton omously in a self directed role. Highly collaborative withstrong interpe rsonal and team building skills. Ability toprioritize multiplework assig nments and manage time efficiently.Flexibility in accepting diverse work assignments and managing stressrelated to change. Education
Work requires a Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work.
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHCs) by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (NCBLCMHC).
