PRMO Established in 2001, Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is a fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization supporting all of Duke Health, including Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke Primary Care. The PRMO focuses on streamlining the revenue cycle through enhanced management of scheduling, registration, coding, HIM operations, billing, collections, cash management, and customer service. The Mission of the PRMO is delivering quality service by enhancing the patient experience, providing financial security, and preserving Duke's reputation and mission of advancing health together. REMOTE POSITION: Monday - Friday (8:00a - 5:00p)
General Description of the Job Class:
Lead Revenue Cycle strategic initiatives and project management
Analyze and interpret data to identify trends for process improvement
Identify and recommend improvement opportunities to meet AR metrics and improve under-performing AR
Revenue Cycle Analysis and Trending
Independently complete analysis of large data sets to identify root causes for increased AR Aging, increase in AR, denials, payer trends, and/or decrease in cash or net collections within all areas of the Revenue Cycle
Document and maintain cash and denials trends to proactively identify and communicate shifts
Independently translate/consolidate trends identified into an easily-readable format to report out to key internal and external stakeholders
Maintain internal control documentation related to process memos, testing, and quality control. Identify and/or recommend appropriate areas of risks for internal controls.
Conduct detailed research to identify trends, including a review of specifics in the appropriate accounts receivable and /or financial systems
Assist in leading meetings to highlight issues, trends and challenges related to net revenue and cash collections
Revenue Cycle Strategic Initiatives and Project Management
Create, design, lead, and implement strategies that will reduce DRO, improve aging AR, improve net collection rate, eliminate waste through automation or optimization of work?ows, reduce denials, and reduce avoidable write -o?s, for all areas of the Revenue Cycle
Develop, maintain, and enhance knowledge of Revenue Cycle systems and third-party vendors to support recommendations for optimal work?ows.
Leverage technology and best practices to recommend process improvements
Establish performance targets to evaluate projects with identi?ed key performance indicators and milestones.
Collaboration
E?ectively communicate trends to in?uence all levels of leadership for process improvements
Partner with leaders and teams to review and establish improvement opportunities
Perform project management duties to align multi-disciplinary groups across the revenue cycle and clinical departments, corporate ?nance, DHTS, and hospital service line leadership
Communicate and track progress of identi?ed issues and action items
Partner with Operations Improvement on outstanding optimization and automation projects
Collaborate with DUHS Finance and Contracting
Participate in high risk implementations in collaboration with Revenue Managers and other key stakeholders.

Required Quali?cations at this Level Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree in a business or health-related ?eld is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years work experience, including 3years of experience with signi?cant responsibility for performance/ process improvement. Experience leading work teams required.
Experience can be supplemented with Master's degree with a Masters being equivalent to two years of experience.
