The role you’ll contribute:
When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.
The Medical Wellness Manager manages the Medical Fitness and Massage Therapy Programs with Sports Medicine and Rehab. The Manager is also responsible for the development and execution of new fitness and clinical programming designed to increase market share and create new opportunities to promote the Medical Fitness and Massage Therapy Programs. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Hires and orients new staff to assigned area to familiarize them with area processes, equipment, safety and operational plans as demonstrated by staff correctly carrying out patient care according to policies, procedures and protocols.
Assure staff and self-compliance with Compliance Plan and meets regulatory, industry and AdventHealth standards. Assesses and evaluates the qualifications and licensures of the exercise physiologists, and massage therapists. Actively participates in the development of staff clinical skills, employee engagement and customer and stakeholder’s satisfaction. Monitors and develops plans related to employee and customer satisfaction.
Responsible for the overall mission, strategies, creation, operations and business objectives of the Medical Fitness and Massage Therapy programs. Provides management to achieve the financial, team, market, clinical and service goals. Collaborates with Team Managers to grow Medical Fitness membership and Massage Therapy clientele. Responsible for meeting Medical Fitness and Massage Therapy budget goals.
Responsible for creation and operations of the Medical Fitness and Massage Therapy programs, including clinical exercise program development with various departments and physicians, group exercise programming, ergonomics and internal and external events. Hires and manages staff to provide the services. Promotes and markets the program with clinical partners and collaborates with other departments and teams. Actively engages in activities to improve internal and external awareness of Medical Fitness and Massage Therapy as service lines.
Responsible for invoicing other departments and businesses for services rendered.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology, or related field such as Exercise Science
Two years’ hands-on experience working in a similar fitness center personal training program
One year experience in developing clinical exercise programs
One year hands-on experience in coordinating and delivering wellness programs
Background in the fitness and wellness industry
Current certification in CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Current certification in the health and fitness field from one of the following nationally recognized certifying agencies:
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) – Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
OR
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) – Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
OR
National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
