SUMMARY: Provides secretarial/receptionist support to nursing personnel by coordinating and directing all communications on the nursing unit and entering orders. Calls infant births to attending physician and enters admission into computer system. Enters birth certificate information to the Missouri Department of Vital Statistics. Maintains department office supplies and enters work orders for equipment maintenance and repair. Assures chart forms are readily available and stock forms drawers. EXPERIENCE: Secretarial/receptionist. One year in hospital setting. SPECIAL SKILLS: Medical Terminology preferred. Interpersonal and communication skills; organizational skills to perform multiple tasks. OTHER: Basic computer/data entry skills. EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
