Job Summary
Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, CO, seeks a full-time Interventional Cardiologist (IC) to join patient care and graduate medical educational programs as a member of Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Services. IC qualifications include management of ACS, advanced cardiogenic shock, mechanical support, complex coronary revascularization, and multimodality coronary atherectomy. In addition to complex coronary care, we are seeking a collaborative member to join an interdisciplinary vascular medicine service comprising cardiology, vascular surgery, podiatric surgery, and infectious disease in the management of complex, chronic limb threatening and acute limb ischemia. Requirements include: terminal medical degree (M.D. or D.O.); fellowship completion and board eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology; clinical experience in both coronary and peripheral arterial interventions; a strong interest and demonstrated accomplishment in clinical research, health services research, or academic commitment to medical education and training of medical residents and cardiology fellows. Resources will be provided to facilitate these pursuits. This is an integrated clinical program with University of Colorado, with faculty academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions:
Conducts diagnostic procedures, such as angiograms, stress tests, to identify and diagnose cardiovascular conditions. (25%)
Performs interventional procedures, such as angioplasty and stent placement, to treat cardiovascular conditions. (25%)
Provides post operative care and follow up care for patients, including monitoring for complications and providing recommendations for further treatment. (25%)
Collaborates with other medical professionals, such as cardiologist and cardiac surgeons, to provide comprehensive care for patients. (15%)
Keeps detailed records of patients' medical history, treatments, and outcomes. (10%)
Education:
Doctorate Degree From an Accredited Medical School. Required and
Completed Accredited Residency and Fellowship programs for cardiology and interventional cardiology, or equivalent. Required and
Board eligible in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Required
Licenses:
ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association Required and
MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required and
BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
