Social Worker
The social worker is assigned to the Health Care for Homeless Veteran program (HCHV) as the Referral and Eligibility Specialist for homeless programs. This position is aligned under the Community Outreach Division within the Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences Service. The incumbent builds rapport with difficult to engage homeless Veterans to assist them with obtaining needed VA and community resources. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
