Overview
BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs.
BJC Home Care provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. Serving more than 25 counties, it has become the largest home care network in the region and one of the largest in the country.
The Home Infusion Therapy Department of BJC Home Care Services works closely with physicians, patients and caregivers to enable patients to remain or return home while receiving intravenous medications. Our services include 24 hour on-call pharmacy and nursing services, comprehensive patient education materials, patient assessment and drug administration monitoring, and coordination of professional services including home care nursing and laboratory services.

Role Purpose
Has the authority, responsibility and accountability for the overall administrative direction of clinical services. Involved in policy development, planning, directing and evaluating services in order to provide exceptional quality and safety in patient care and an outstanding service experience to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
Responsibilities
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Improves clinical quality and safety. Creates innovation and actively integrates performance improvement initiatives into all services.
Analyzes financial performance including profitability, market share, utilization of resources and physician practice patterns, and makes plans to positively impact results.
Directs and oversees overall administrative direction of both clinical and non-clinical departments. Sets strategic direction, and ensures necessary resources are in place to support the organization's goals.
Evaluates, develops and maintains standards of practice for assigned departments.
Ensures compliance with system and hospital policies, and all regulatory requirements.
Develops business plans in partnership with physicians and others that anticipate and address the needs of a variety of stakeholders.
