JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Foundation - Finance serves as a key financial resource for all BSW Foundations. This position is knowledgeable in all areas of Non-Profit Foundation Finance. The MGR Foundation - Finance - interacts with hospital administrators, physicians, and foundation employees to create an atmosphere of trust and competence in the representation of financial and donor designated fund information. They support the strategic financial planning and budgeting process for the BSW Foundations. The Manager Foundation - Finance works with BSW Foundations staff and BSW System fund users to service their Foundation financial needs. They communicate in a positive manner the requirements and controls necessary to monitor and maintain compliance with fund restrictions to the Foundation and other fund users.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Serves as financial expert for the BSW Foundations with the ability to interpret and communicate Foundation fund use and operations in a professional manner to foundation staff, administrators, physicians, and donors.
Leads monthly close review and variance analysis of BSW Foundations financial statements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and relevance. Prepares and analyzes monthly variance for BSW Foundations.
Publishes monthly financial reports by the 15th of each month and works with the VP Foundation - Finance to present information as requested to BSW Foundation boards and staff.
Supports and maintains service line and financial dashboards with fund information and is the resource for interpretation of information for administrators, Foundation staff, and others. Identifies and prepares multi-year funding plans with service lines.
Prepares necessary fund reporting to be discussed with service line leaders, donors, and other interested parties.
Monitors and facilitates treasury needs to maintain adequate liquidity for fund distribution activity. Serves as liaison to treasury.
Leads strategic financial planning and budget process at the BSW Foundations, including gathering and developing the information for fund distributions to BSW entities, BSW Foundation operations, and working in the planning/budgeting system Kaufman Hall and Financial Edge, Ensure Foundation staff understand financial information, attest to the information, and respond to Foundation finance information requests and needs.
Serves as the lead in pulling and creating reports in Blackbaud Financial Edge (General Ledger). Support and enhance BSW Foundation?s financial analytical efforts by creating and enhancing dashboards and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Advanced knowledge and history of use of Blackbaud Software, including Financial Edge and Raiser?s Edge.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), emphasis on Excel, Power BI, Power Query.
Business reporting skills and experience in creating dashboards, interpreting results, and communicating financial information.
Skills in reporting, especially experience in Power BI or SharePoint.
Data and analytically driven.
Detail oriented, good organizational skills (use of Monday.com)
