The role you’ll contribute:
Assists surgeons by preparing operating rooms and appropriately arranging surgical equipment and supplies.

Ensures operating room is sterile
Field preparation and maintenance
Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures
Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients
Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases
Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures
Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracks instrument counts throughout procedures
Assists team with safe and appropriate operating room turnover times in an efficient and organized manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Graduate from school of surgical technology, LPN program, RN program, completion of a military training program that includes surgical technology skills or on the job training for surgical technology with 5 years of experience in an acute care OR setting.
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
·Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
·Basic skills related to aseptic/ sterile technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
