The Nursing Practice Outcomes and Magnet Coordinator (NPOMC), Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center ("RRUCLA"), works independently with a high degree of autonomy, as well as collaboratively with the Manager, Nursing Excellence; Executive Director Nursing Practice, Education and Research; Chief Nursing Officer of the assigned hospital/entity; Unit Directors and leadership teams; and clinical staff to promote nursing excellence.The NPOMC manages and supports quality related nursing standards of care for the organization in accordance with organizational goals and objectives as directed.The NPOMC also works with the nursing division and other departments across the health system to support the Shared Governance model, further enhance evidenced-based nursing practice, improve patient and nursing satisfaction, and assist with the ongoing development of professional growth opportunities for clinical staff.
GENERIC SCOPE: Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in Nursing Practice Outcomes and the Magnet Recognition Program, with recognized expertise in these areas. Problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues and problems without precedent and / or structure. Program management includes formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources.
CUSTOM SCOPE: Applies extensive knowledge of quality data analysis and quality improvement concepts, methodologies, and data collection and abstraction techniques to substantial projects of large scope and high degrees of complexity.
Salary: $112,900 - $256,900 Annually
Qualifications
Required:
CPR (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Current CA RN
BSN
Strong clinical background in healthcare
Prior experience with Magnet designation.
Knowledge and ability to support clinical performance, evidenced-based nursing practice, and nursing interventions.
In-depthknowledgeof Magnet and QIstandards,clinicalchartreviewandabstraction,andregulatory/Magnetrequirements.
Advancedknowledgeofvariousadministrativeandbusinesssoftwarepackages, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint),andofthespecializedapplicationsforqualitydatamanagement.
