Position Overview: The OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner functions in an Advanced Practice role as a clinical expert in the clinical ambulatory setting. Practicing within developed Standardized Procedures the nurse practitioner plans, implements and evaluates the plan of care and seeks to improve care through collaborative/collegial practice among caregivers/providers/disciplines.
Demonstrated expertise in assessment, intervention, and patient care management.
Knowledgeable regarding scope of practice.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Skilled at conflict resolution.
Independent performer.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Current California N.P. certification
Master’s degree in nursing with completion of approved nurse practitioner program
Graduate from an accredited Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Education
Three (3) years related healthcare experience.
Evidence of continuing education and self-development
BLS certification
LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PIHGSH Only)
