Schedule: Full-time

Shift: Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm)

Location: 2820 SE 3rd Ct., Ste 200, Ocala FL 34471

 

The community you’ll be caring for:

AdventHealth Medical Group West FL

 

The role you’ll contribute:

Schedules patients for surgery and preoperative testing as indicated. Reviews patient medications and health histories, as needed.

 

The value you’ll bring to the team:

·         Schedules patients for surgery and completes facility paperwork

·         Obtains necessary scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information to schedule, cancel, or reschedule events by calling the physician office, department, or a scheduling supervisor with a minimum of call transfers or callbacks

·         Schedules surgeries with physicians and physician office staff by method used at that facility. Maintains each hospital schedules by different methods i.e. calls, faxes, etc. Consistently maintains and improves skills such as telephone etiquette, typing accuracy/speed, and communications

·         Calls designated departments with information for add-on cases if patients are not yet admitted to the hospital. Prepares and sends reservations for each case scheduled to designated departments within established timeframes

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Grad or Equivalent
• 1 Year Technical experience 
• 1 Year Cerner scheduling experience 
• SURG-TECH - Surgical Tech – Certified
