Job Summary

This position is for the Data Science and AI team at Geisinger. The candidate will be assigned to a project, for example to develop and deploy clinical risk and staffing optimization models for cardiology, or to develop a prototype tool using Large Language Models for information extraction.

Job Duties

• Interns will work along side professionals in their chosen career area.
• Assist with supporting the assigned area, gaining practical application experience, and expanding their knowledge and skills base.
• Interns will have the opportunity to observe the workplace and gain industry knowledge, while also performing job-specific tasks to assist with operations.
• Works closely on a project team both conceptually and analytically, applying business acumen.
• Assists in developing insights, results and recommendations.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
