The Division of Adult Psychiatry and Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a non-regular rank appointment as a Psychology Postdoctoral Clinical Fellowship. The ideal applicant will have experience in a broad range of behavioral health interventions in an academic medical center setting working with adults.
Clinical responsibilities: The position offers advanced clinical training in the practice of psychology across our adult assessment, treatment, and consultation services. This position involves supervised practice of clinical activities, including the provision of diagnostic evaluations, psychological testing, and psychotherapy in outpatient specialty clinic settings. Clinic settings include opportunities to provide care to adults who are experiencing acute and chronic medical illnesses, pain conditions, lifestyle-related challenges, substance use disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, traumatic stress, and somatic symptom-related disorders. Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings is also expected. There may be opportunities for participation in the adult inpatient consultation and liaison services.
Other responsibilities: Participate in the educational, research, and administrative activities of the Department and Division of Adult Psychiatry and Psychology, and departmental activities and meetings.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or related field from an APA-accredited doctoral program and completion of an APA-accredited internship. Applicants must be eligible to pursue provisional licensure as a psychologist in North Carolina.
