Core Family Medicine Faculty position at the MSU/MyMichigan Medical Center Alma Family Medicine Residency Program. The program is an unopposed 4-4-4 program in a Continued Accreditation with the ACGME. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a physician-led organization that has an established Family Medicine Residency Program with a focus on rural medicine. With a smaller residency program you have the ability to have a larger impact on each Residents education. MyMichigan Medical Center Alma is the sole hospital in the community. It has a large population of patients with diverse and complex illness. Alma is a safe, affordable college town located in the heart of the Lower Peninsula.
Patient & Procedure Mix: All aspects of family medicine: the physical, emotional, and social health from birth through adulthood, including health services ranging from preventive health care to the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.
Schedule: Full-time, schedule flexible surrounding the inpatient and outpatient components
Call: 1:5 with hospital medicine providers assisting with night call
Requirements
U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent
Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine
Successful completion of an ACGME approved residency
Must have or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Michigan and a Controlled Substance License

Practice Details
The faculty member, Family Practice Center Alma, will work closely with the Program Director, four other faculty and one behavioralist, and will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision, mentorship, education, and administrative oversight of residents.
Clinical duties include: hospital rounds with FMS resident team, precepting all levels of residents in the family medicine outpatient office, working with medical students, and direct patient care hours.
Base salary with RVU-based incentive compensation plan. Benefits include:
