Summary: Serves as American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator. Coordinates Life Support classes, serves as an instructor when needed. Responsible for performing analysis of data related to classes and for administrative review of training center operations. May assist with other clinical education duties within the department.
Oversee all life support and other structured programs and be available as a substitute instructor.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7a-3:30p
Responsibilities: 1. Assists and participates in the process of identifying needs and planning for education, training and orientation programs. 2. Collaborates with Director in planning, implementation and evaluation of training programs and curriculum. 3. Facilitates the implementation of planned education and training programs. 4. Implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. 5. Coordinates American Heart Association activities to achieve targeted results within Rex Healthcare. Acts as the AHA Training Site Coordinator. 6. Trains users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom. 7. Monitors expenditures and reports variances for assigned line items and programs. Takes corrective action as directed. 8. Demonstrates teamwork within department. 9. Communicates effectively with all co-workers and community resources.

Other information: Education Requirements: ? Associates degree from a 2-year college is preferred. Licensure/Certification Requirements: ? Either Registered Nurse, EMT, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist or other clinical licensure preferred. BCLS and BCLS Instructor required. Professional Experience Requirements: ? Previous AHA Training Center Coordinator preferred. ? Minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting and staff education is required. Established as an American Heart Association Life Support Instructor for at least one of the following: BLS, ACLS or PALS.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
? Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze interpret and communicate technical procedures and healthcare issues. Ability to effectively present information to adult learners Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to implement critical thinking.
