Reporting directly to the Director of Global Strategy & Business Services, the Business Services Consultant is responsible for assisting with domestic and international growth initiatives led by Patient Navigation & Business Services (PNBS). This unique role will have the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders across our health system, lead complex business plans, and manage international consulting projects. The role will provide analytical and project management support for business planning initiatives and other projects as assigned.
Other key responsibilities include:
Development, implementation, resource management, and data reporting of assigned initiatives.
Collaboration with other members of PNBS as well as key stakeholders and leadership within UCLA Health.
Client and stakeholder relationship management.
Creating reports for leadership, identifying and analyzing critical issues, presenting recommend solutions to decision-makers, and implementing interventions.
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
Develop business plans and analyze performance of potential endeavors related to incoming international patients.
Respond to requests for various delegations to visit UCLA.
The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is $92,600.00 - $202,200.00 Annually.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in management consulting strongly preferred.
Experience working in a healthcare environment and thorough understanding of the elements of health care delivery including strategy, business planning, operations, accreditation standards and financial conditions.
Demonstrated skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, financial modeling, and creating presentations.
Ability to conceptualize, develop, implement and evaluate projects.
Interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate, in a manner that enhances cooperation and respect, with individuals of all levels including leadership and across departments.
Effective problem solving skills with ability to make sound decisions by analyzing variables, data, options and trends.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to deliver effective presentations.
Demonstrated ability in diplomacy, discretion, tact and sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in a variety of complex and sometimes sensitive situations.
Understands the approaches and methods of process improvement, including planning, setting priorities, systematic performance assessment, implementation based on such assessment, and maintaining achieved improvement.
Proven experience building and maintaining multiple on-going complex partnerships with external clients and partners.
Ability to interact with high profile and high-ranking officials of domestic and foreign governments, corporations, and NGOs.
