The University of Florida is seeking candidates for the Division of Addiction Medicine. A 12-month, full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenured track faculty positions to provide outpatient and inpatient critical needs services at UFHealth Florida Recovery Center (FRC). This position will play a key role in teaching students and residents.

Applicants must have:
M.D. or D.O. degree.
Licensed in or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida
1) Board certified in Psychiatry AND board certified/board eligible in Addiction Medicine through ABAM/ASAM, OR 2) board certified in another specialty AND board certified/board eligible in Addiction Medicine through ABAM/ASAM.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong candidates will be motivated physicians with a desire for a career in psychiatry, with specialty board in addiction medicine within an academic setting
Interest and experience in evaluation and treatment of safety sensitive professionals
Possess prior clinical experience in a teaching hospital
Completed residency in psychiatry
Completed fellowship in Addiction Medicine
Ability to work in a teaching environment and collaborate with therapist
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Strong written communications skills

The UF Department of Psychiatry is a leader in innovative, evidence-based treatment programs for a variety of mental health and substance use disorders. Treatment teams within UF Health Psychiatry specialize in dual diagnosis. They are experienced in managing treatment plans for multiple co-occurring disorders. Clinical faculty, fellows and residents provide subspecialty care using transcranial magnetic stimulation, parent-child interaction therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and specific treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder and addiction.
We are nationally recognized for our research on addiction, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, physicians and health professionals substance abuse, Tourette’s disorder, basic and clinical psychopharmacology, neuroimmunology, gene-environment interactions in abnormal repetitive movements, dynamic functional magnetic resonance imaging and proteomics.
