The Director, Timekeeping will be responsible for the strategic direction, management, and oversight of the timekeeping system and the support model for employee timekeeping and payroll needs ("support model") across the organization, including research and faculty. The Director will serve as a key liaison between the Timekeeping Governance Committee, business leaders and operational teams, ensuring that all initiatives are effectively prioritized, tracked, and delivered in alignment with the organization's strategic goals. This role involves leading a timekeeping team, driving timekeeping initiative progress across the organization, and serving as a functional subject matter expert and escalation point. The Director will oversee the timekeeping team's performance and development, ensuring the team collectively has the skills and support needed to excel. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for staying informed of industry trends, recommending improvements, and ensuring that the timekeeping system evolves to meet the changing needs of the organization.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the creation, development, and maintenance of timekeeping strategies (e.g., user experience, application functionality, mobile application practices).
Develop and implement a comprehensive support model that ensures timely and effective resolution of timekeeping and payroll-related inquiries. Partner with Finance and Payroll to resolve complex issues as necessary.??
Lead relationship management efforts with key stakeholders inside and outside the Timekeeping Governance Committee.
Manage the development, maintenance, and enforcement of relevant timekeeping policies and practices. Share the responsibility (with Finance) for addressing any internal and external audit findings related to the timekeeping process and controls.
Support the Timekeeping Governance Committee (e.g., EIS, Finance, HR) and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to align UKG system capabilities and user experience with the organization's goals and objectives.
Partner with EIS, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure the UKG system integrates seamlessly with other enterprise systems.
Collaborate and provides input to EIS regarding system upgrades, enhancements, patches, vendor management, system performance, etc.
Collaborate with Legal and Compliance/Labor Relations to ensure the UKG system configuration adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including labor laws, collective bargaining agreements and payroll requirements.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team responsible for timekeeping and payroll support (e.g., triage, case management, resolution).
Identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvements and UKG system enhancements that drive operational efficiency and reduce errors.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in timekeeping and payroll systems to ensure the organization remains efficient and competitive.
Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to track user satisfaction and operational metrics (e.g., volume, SLA adherence).

Education
Minimum Requirement - Bachelor's Degree - Business administration, human resources, or a related field
Preferred Requirement - Master's Degree- Business administration, human resources, or a related field
Work Experience??
Minimum Requirement - 5 years of experience - Experience with Timekeeping, payroll, or HR systems management
Minimum Requirement - 5 years of experience - Experience with other HRIS systems
Minimum Requirement - 5 years of experience - Healthcare or large enterprise environment
Licenses and Certifications??
Preferred Requirement - Certification in UKG system administration or related disciplines
