The College of Health, Arts, and Sciences at Oregon Tech, an Oregon public university, is seeking candidates for a one-year full-time Visiting Instructor position in the MS in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program. The anticipated start date for this position will fall within the 2025 academic year. Primary responsibilities will include graduate teaching and supporting the program practicum coordinator.

The MFT program is housed in Oregon Tech’s Humanities and Social Sciences department – a collegial environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly between healthcare and the social sciences. With a commitment to diversity, the MS MFT program has a strong curriculum informed by the needs of under-served rural populations in southern Oregon and northern California. These populations include Klamath Tribes families, migratory farm worker families, and families struggling with multi-generational poverty.
Qualified candidates will have a master or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field from an accredited college or university. Qualified candidates must be able to supervise graduate students in practicum placements and possess the AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor designation or be an AAMFT Approved Supervisor candidate. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to teach a broad range of classes that support our current curriculum both online and on campus. Courses will include lifespan development, developing cultural competencies, and sexuality & therapy, as well as courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
