Independently competent in performing all standard diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures including but not limited to diagnostic coronary angiography (natives and grafts) balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting, all types of atherectomy, ventriculography, aortography, right heart catheterization, pericardiocentesis
On-call shared among the group. 1:2 STEMI call on weeknights
Interpret transthoracic, echocardiograms
Read EKG’s, treadmill exercise studies, and on rare occasion Holter and Event monitor studies
Basis understanding of, and trouble shooting skills with pacemaker/ICD interrogation, interpretation, and programming
Works as part of an integrated team within the department of Cardiology
Position Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or ECFMG certification
BC in Cardiology and BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology
Fellowship trained in Adult Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology
Minimum 2 years interventional cardiology experience
Minimum 2 year procedure log required for submission with application
At start date: current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Hawaii
