Under the direction of the Director of Quality, conducts surveillance, investigation, and reporting of infections involving patients and/or employees of the organization. Also monitors and follows up on employee health issues and accidents. Responsible for creating and updating policies and procedures related to infection control and employee health, as well as conducting relevant educational programs for job-related areas.

Qualifications
Required Licenses
Registered Nurse Current RN License in the State of Wyoming or Compact equivalent
OR Bachelor Degree in Microbiology and Epidemiology
OR A combination of education and experience.
Must have primary professional training in nursing, medical technology, microbiology, epidemiology, or other related field.
Minimum Education
Must have certification in Infection Control or must obtain within three years of employment.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in an acute care facility and broad clinical experience.
Required Skills
Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
