Reporting to the Manager, Management Systems & Organizational Excellence, this position is responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities include:
Organize and carry out the internal audit function (may include audits of contractors and suppliers), as well as maintain the Corporate Audit Program
Provide analysis and make recommendations on the systems and processes audited
Review corporate audit activities regularly and develop the annual Audit Plan and Schedule to continually improve the audit process and reduce overall risk to Orano Canada Inc. (OCI)
Conduct regular follow-up of audit non-conformances and recommendations
Provide advice and direction to OCI regarding the implementation and maintenance of management system components, audits and documentation of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Prepare and maintain documentation related to the corporate IMS
Develop and maintain a process for the control of corporate and departmental management system documents
Provide guidance and support on the document control processes to OCI’s mine site and Saskatoon Office departments
Maintain various IMS & OE SharePoint sites & pages as required to keep information current
Promote and advise on the use of Operational Excellence and Data Governance tools and techniques in Saskatoon Office including:
Process mapping and continual improvement
Identification and reduction of waste (MUDA)
Support for Saskatoon Manager field inspections
Facilitate data mapping sessions and creation of data diagrams in Meta-Analysis
Support Orano’s Business Risk Model annual reviews and tracking of top risks and action plans
Comply with all Orano policies, standards, procedures and practices

Work Location & Schedule:
Saskatoon Corporate Office – 40 hours/week
Occasional short visits to Orano sites, exploration camps, and contractor/supplier facilities, as required

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
University degree or post-secondary education in a related discipline and/or combination of relevant work experience
Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience in auditing and management systems
Successful completion of a formal lead auditor training course (ISO 14001 &/or ISO 45001) from an accredited organization is considered an asset
Strong understanding of integrated management systems
Working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and related documents and standards such as: the Nuclear Safety and Control Act and Regulations, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the Mines Regulations, CNSC management system requirements, ISO9001, ISO14001, & ISO45001, and Orano IMS requirements
High computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of SharePoint and other web applications
Project management training and/or experience is considered an asset
Exceptional attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
Ability to learn and make assessments quickly, adapt to new situations and locations
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Cooperative and collaborative, with the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
