Position Summary
The Lab Strategy Manager reviews and assesses applicable financial, clinical, and operational data, along with evidence-based literature, to assist in the selection, evaluation, monitoring, analysis and implementation of cost-effective products, technologies, services and processes that support strategic sourcing for the lab. The Manager makes presentations and recommendations to key stakeholders, staff and leadership that achieve the best value for NWCL and MultiCare.
Responsibilities
Recommends the most appropriate and efficient method for formation of strategic sourcing initiatives/agreements for NWCL & MultiCare from the analysis of institutional spend, end-user activity and the marketplace
Develops, implements and manages a value analysis business plan, strategies, goals, and objectives including a communication plan for internal and external marketing of the value analysis program related to lab
Negotiates strategic sourcing agreements and any changes in vendor contracts in accordance with NWCL, MHS, state, and federal rules and regulations and for the maximum benefit to NWCL & MHS
Determines appropriate resolution to problems that may arise during the strategic sourcing contracting processes by mediating disputes between NWCL, MHS, and the vendor/contractor
Develops and maintains awareness of changing commodity-related business trends in the marketplace and the possible impact to the hospital system
Develops and composes bids specification assuring that NWCL, and MHS stakeholder needs, are addressed
Creates support structures within value analysis to promote clinical quality, efficiency, compliance, and productivity
Requirements
Advanced degree (MS/MBA/JD) required
Seven (7) years of experience to include direct management of supply chain contracts, developing, implementing, operating or maintaining analytics for contract processes and/or business support required

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $98,634.00 - $143,229.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicantâs years of experience align.
