Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

Opportunity Information

The NICU Advanced Practice Nurse will attend high-risk deliveries and work with neonatologists to assess, diagnose, prescribe, perform procedures, and help develop care plans for neonates. 

Responsibilities include:

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team providing comprehensive care 
• Evaluate and treat newborns in the NICU in collaboration with neonatal attendings
• Attend high risk deliveries and provide appropriate stabilization
• Evaluate newborns in the well baby nursery for conditions requiring elevation of care
• Performs therapeutic interventions as appropriate for care of neonatal patients
• Provide family centered care and communicate effectively with health care teams and families
• Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies
• Participate in NICU transport team

Qualifications

• New Jersey Nurse Practitioner License and Preference for Neonatal NP (NNP) certification
