Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in Otolaryngology at our Milford, Delaware location. This sign-on bonus eligible position will care for the full range of pediatric patients. The outpatient opportunity provides the successful candidate with the ability to perform a wide spectrum of care in a quiet location with private office space, experienced and friendly nurses and medical assistants and an efficient patient flow. The Physician Assistant will work in collaboration with physicians to assist with the overall care of the patients in Otolaryngology. Full-time or part-time available.

Essential Functions

• Perform office-based procedures under the supervision of an attending physician, and may include removal of cerumen, assisting with flexible fiberoptic laryngoscopy, etc.
• Triage and respond to phone calls from referring physician, patients and their families, allied health professionals, insurance companies, etc. regarding patient care.
• Perform history and physical examinations, write clinical notes, and enter patient information and prescriptions into an electronic medical records system.
• Effectively communicate with the health care team, patients, and family members to consult, refer, and coordinate patient care and other service issues.

Requirements

• Current Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants/Current appropriate national certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
• Clear and active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Delaware/Delaware (or compact state) RN licensure & Delaware APRN Licensure
• Current AHA BLS certification
• 1+years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider preferred
