The Alaska Family Medicine Residency/Providence Family Medicine Center is seeking an entry-level psychologist. The ideal candidate will deliver integrated psychological services, including behavioral health consultation, evidence-based psychotherapy, and psychological assessment, to patients within our family medicine clinic which provides outpatient services across the lifespan. The psychologist may supervise behavioral health trainees practicing in the clinic and cross-train family medicine residents. Enjoy working with a collaborative team in beautiful Seward, Alaska.
Graduate of a training program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Completion of a predoctoral internship accredited by the American Psychological Association.
License eligible in the State of Alaska
2 years of experience providing evidence-based psychological services in an outpatient setting.
1 year of experience providing services as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, regulations, rules, policies, and processes, including substantial knowledge relevant to specialized fields such as HIPPA requirements.
Knowledge of culturally minded and evidence-based treatment frameworks.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm-reduction strategies.
Respond and Adapt to different cultural contexts and circumstances.
Provide and Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
Establish and Maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees.
Crisis intervention and consultation with other medical professionals.
DSM-5/ICD-10 assessment and diagnosis.
Psychological assessment, delivery of evidence-based psychological services, and routine outcome monitoring.
