Position Summary
Phoenix Children’s has an immediate PRN opening in our Gastroenterology department for a clinical nurse at the Main Clinic (Thomas/20th St) This is a Monday - Friday position, NO weekends, NO holidays and NO call!!! The ideal incumbent will have a minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience as an RN either in an inpatient or clinic capacity. In this role, you will be providing phone triage, working with providers to coordinate care for the patient, as well as with other areas of specialty, and education for the patient/families on treatment. This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
- Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
