The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for tracking and trending coding productivity and accuracy for corporate and division reporting. Collect and organize data to present insightful information to the leadership team that allows them to make informed decisions. Pull data regarding specific code/audit requests from a variety of different systems and present that data in pivot tables, bell curves, etc. Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the Coding team (i.e., DNFB, productivity, CMI, etc.). Responsible for creating presentations utilizing the trended data or as assigned by leadership. Provides project management on a variety of projects and other tasks as required by the coding department. Responsible for maintaining current policies and procedures and scopes of work for the coding departments. Design department specific reports that can be easily created and shared with the coding team as needed. Work with the corporate team as needed to build dashboards or reports that may be shared via Power BI with the local team. Track and trend secondary diagnosis assignment, medical necessity edits, mortality reviews, Retrospective reviews, post-payment DRG audits and any other tasks as assigned. Track and trend unassigned codes in our computer assisted coding application. Creates and maintains a Coding SharePoint site for the coding team. Responsible for the creation of a monthly coding newsletter.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Assists the coding department with developing PowerPoint presentations for leadership meetings, revenue cycle meetings and a variety of other meetings as needed. Utilizing graphs, pivot tables, etc., information is presented in a meaningful and impactful manner. Heavy Power Point presentation skills are required in this role and effective use is critical.
· Creates and disseminates various reports related to coding projects and presentations. Moderate to heavy Excel skills needed with a willingness to continue to learn Excel skills ongoing. · Creates and maintains a coding SharePoint site for the coding team
· Creates monthly coding newsletter using input from coding leaders. · Runs reports utilizing HPM, HealtheAnalytics, Power Insight and any other hospital applications available. Become familiar with AdventHealth Office applications and may be asked to train team members to assist them with efficient workflow and or day to day communications.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· High School Graduate or equivalent
5 years of experience in a hospital setting
