Cook County Health is seeking a Primary Care physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) to join an exceptional team serving patients from across the greater Chicago area. This position provides general medical ambulatory and inpatient care to adults, educates medical trainees including medical students, residents and fellows, and participates in the quality improvement and program development activities of the Division of General Internal Medicine. This position also follows the direction of the head of each clinical area or service of work, participates in clinical activities and must be able to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to travel to worksites throughout Cook County Health & Hospitals System (CCHHS)
Must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine (DO) from an accredited college or university.
Must have Board-Eligibility or be Board-Certified in Internal Medicine prior to starting employment; or must have completed Family Medicine Board Certification with board certification or board eligibility in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine prior to starting employment
Must be licensed as a physician in the State of Illinois or be able to obtain licensure prior to starting employment
Must have Illinois and Federal controlled substance license or ability to obtain license prior to starting employment
Providing a record of scholarly achievement is preferred
