The Chiropractor treat patients' overall health through patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Uses a variety of physical techniques and therapies to treat and rehabilitate patients who are suffering from disorders and/or injuries of the back or musculoskeletal system. Accountable for the care, direction and progression of chiropractic treatments and patients. The essential functions of the Chiropractor include the following:
Assess a patient's medical condition by reviewing their medical history, listening to the patient's concerns, and performing a physical examination.
Examine the patient's posture, spine, musculoskeletal function and reflexes.
Conduct tests, including evaluating a patient's posture and ordering x rays or other tests as indicated.
Provide neuromusculoskeletal therapy, adjusting a patient's spinal column and other joints.
Provide treatment within scope of practice to address spinal dysfunction, misalignment, and other musculoskeletal dysfunction.
Establish an appropriate treatment or management plan with your patient.
Advise patients on rehabilitation exercises, as well as health and lifestyle issues, such as exercise, nutrition, and sleep habits.
Refer patients to other health care professionals as part of the patients overall care team to provide the best level of care.
Keep accurate and confidential clinical records.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
The ideal Chiropractor candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
