Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compensation Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compensation programs for Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) across our regional health system. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of healthcare compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
This role will report to the Executive Director of Total Rewards & HR Operations.
Responsibilities
*Design, implement, and manage competitive compensation programs for Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends.
*Conduct market analysis and benchmarking studies to ensure competitive pay practices.
*Develop and maintain compensation structures, including salary ranges, incentive plans, and benefits packages.
*Provide expert guidance and support to HR business partners, managers, and senior leadership on compensation-related matters.
*Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
*Collaborate with recruitment teams to develop competitive offers for new hires.
*Analyze compensation data and prepare reports for senior leadership, identifying trends and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
*Assist in the development and implementation of physician and APC contracts, ensuring clarity and alignment with compensation policies.
*Participate in annual compensation reviews and performance management processes.
*Educate and train HR staff and management on compensation policies, practices, and tools.
Qualifications
*Strong understanding of healthcare compensation regulations and - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
*In-depth knowledge of compensation laws, regulations, and best practices.
*Proficiency in compensation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Credentials
Education
*Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
*2 to 5 + years of experience in compensation, preferably within the healthcare industry.
*Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is highly desirable.
