Established Pediatric Cardiology Practice - Miami
Responsibilities
Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our pediatric cardiology team in Miami, Florida.
Established four-physician practice
Pediatric nurse practitioner will work in both an outpatient and inpatient capacity in Miami
The practice has two clinics in Dade County and provides consults to 7 area hospitals
Primary inpatient locations are NICU/PICU units at Mount Sinai Medical Center, HCA Kendall Hospital, HCA Mercy Hospital, Jackson Health/ University of Miami/ Holtz Children's Hospital, and Nicklaus Children's Hospital
The practice employs its own sonographers and is currently using NextGen for scheduling and documenting
Responsibilities of the position include:
Evaluation and management of infants, children and adolescents with heart disease, chest pain, syncope, palpitations, hypertension and elevated cholesterol
Seeing sports clearance and preventive care patients, including patients who have hypercholesterolemia, hypertension or obesity
Seeing follow up patients in office and via telehealth to review test results (e.g., event monitors, Holter monitors, etc.)
Providing patient education and nutrition and exercise counseling, ordering laboratory work-ups, and coordinating other necessary care and referrals
Schedule is Monday â“ Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in an office-based setting where you will work with a team of physicians, in-patient rounds conducted as necessary

Qualifications
Current APRN national specialty certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Minimum of a masterâ™s degree
May consider experienced pediatric cardiology Family Nurse Practitioner
