SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provide operational leadership across the health system for supply chain facility leadership and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including shipping, receiving, distribution, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, demand planning, emergency and disaster supplies are delivered throughout the hospitals and clinics and other divisions of Penn State Health and consistent with our vision and values. This individual will help to drive key critical performance metrics and on-time delivery, schedule attainment and financial metrics such as inventory turns, standard cost variances, absorption and budget, and develop and retain responsive and dependable supplier relationships. This individual will work closely with our Third Party Logistics Providers (3PL), corporate finance, information technology (IT) and procurement to drive overall supply chain excellence through the delivery process. This position is responsible for the creation and execution of all Supply Chain operational Strategies and ensuring strategies and goals and aligned with the overall goals of the health system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor's degree required.
Ten (10) years of related experience required.
Seven (7) years of management experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Lean and Six Sigma certification preferred
APICS and/or CPSM certifications preferred
Master's Degree in business or supply chain management preferred
AHRMM (CRMP) certification preferred
Managerial knowledge of INFOR (MMIS)
