Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando

The role you’ll contribute:
Under general supervision, is responsible for the Diagnostic XR workflow to assure efficient operation.Performs imaging of Diagnostic XR exams following the Florida Hospital protocols.Develops knowledge and competency of technologists and students by overseeing image quality and providing technical imaging support.Utilizes the hospital performance improvement process in the goals of Imaging Services.Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies.Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulation of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

Minimum Qualifications:
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
·Florida Department of Health – General Radiographer
·ARRT ( R )
·Basic Life Support
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
·Knowledge of ER, OR and Fluoroscopic imaging procedures
·Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions
·Ability to determine appropriate technical factors
·Knowledge of Radiographic and Fluoroscopic equipment
·Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety
·Ability to communicate effectively, coordinate staff and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
·Ability to multi-task under stress while dealing with large customer volumes
·Good organizational skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·Two years experience in hospital setting as a Registered Technologist
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
·Computer skills to include Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook
·Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment
·Knowledge of Florida Hospital Protocols
·Working knowledge of the Florida Hospital Computer system
·Knowledge of Florida Hospital’s Image QA standards and policy
·Good technical troubleshooting skills

·Performs all exams, on all types of patients: Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP) and Emergency Department (ED) using FH XR protocols.Follows FH policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patient for contrast allergies. (Exam Supervision and Administration)
·Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps work flow moving for assigned campus, and minimizes empty table time.Follows through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OP’s.Maintains supplies by notifying manager to order items when par levels are low and puts new stock away upon arrival to department. (Personal Productivity and Accountability)
·Utilizes the knowledge of a full range of imaging procedures and equipment in assigned department.Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patient of all ages; adapts protocols as necessary.Helps to develop knowledge and competency of technologists and students; may serve as clinical instructor to the XR students.
